A FESTIVAL SHOWCASING LATIN MUSIC, ARTS AND CULTURE
An exciting all-ages event that brings the Latin American culture to life in the City of Toronto
The Ontario Latin Arts Festival is a unique three-day event that celebrates the culture of Latin America on Friday, July 8th at North York Civic Centre, Saturday, July 9th at Mel Lastman Square and on Sunday, July 10th at North York Civic Centre in Toronto. This flavourful festival will showcase the finest Latin music and dance found in Canada, along with featured films, art show and dance workshops.
Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by top performers such as Cassava Latin Band, one of Toronto's most popular salsa bands; Mariachi Fuego, great performers of mariachi music and Luisito Obregoso's band, Giovanni Ruiz, with his masterful play of various flutes; Carlos Amaran, cuban music. Samba Toronto, brazilian musician and dancers.
There will be a showcase of Latin dances by Sentir Venezuela dance group and 219 Salsa Dance Group, sombrero Azul, Latin Energy, Tango Soul, Inspiration Latina, Rhythm & Motion and Estampa Peruana.
Traditional Latin food will be available from a variety of vendors. Additionally, several businesses will be on-site educating the public on the Latin culture and commerce.
